Post-Punk Bros - Trent/Trenton

Just checking out my drafts and lord I don’t know why I never seem to post this… (other than not sure what to caption and I think that’s the case oop.)

So anyway iirc I started this piece on paper and then scanned it into my lappy for digital cleanup and colouring yea.

Wooo finally a new - the - damned piece after so long! (It’s a long story but tldr I’m still recovering…)

Of course going to celebrate my once-in-a-while posting with my favourite gal Heather as always, getting ready for girls’ night out~

Trenton and Heather being mcsweeties cuz I crave their crumbs so I had to cook them myself sigh. :’)

Recently binged darkwave/ethereal wave band Scarlet Leaves again and it surely inspired me to draw my gal Heather in a customised 80s batcaver fit. <3

I would say that the overall process of making this piece was both passion and anxiety-inducing as I’m very enjoyed drawing while very anxious about whether will it be received like… I’m not sure how much good work I actually did to the point I had to convince myself that it’s all fine despite just warming up to draw these few days since my scogue and trentney pieces hmm.⁠

I think the major matter here is since it’s been sooooo long ago since I draw actual person instead of fictional character, so the stakes of expectation to make a piece Perfect™ that I put on myself become higher than ever. \;v;/ ⁠

AAAA At last a Trentney piece that I’ve been working on for weeks and now it’s finished, IT’S FINISHED!!! I don’t know if this is a total fit for trentneycember since it was initially meant for casual Trentney work hmm mmm. (;0;)⁠

I would say the most challenging part of this piece was the lineart like I had to manually make a thick stroke and then erased to my desired line thickness. Oh and also hands as always aha haa sobs, and what I enjoy the most was the colouring. I think I started to develop something about it hah.⁠

Just a random trivia, Trent was supposed to wear a corset vest but I ditched it as the TD style makes it look odd for some reason?? Like it could work on more realistic leaning (proportion-wise)… I think?? XD Oh and I randomly add honey-coloured eyeshadow as I’m colouring. Dunno why just think it would suit her skin. I mean she can be sweet as hell with specific kinds of people. 👀⁠

Strolling in the Mild Rain 🌧

Feeling to draw these two again but in a more Total Drama-inspired art style yea. So far I quite like it. Major unbelieving that I’m the one who drew Scott as I did him from scratch while I use TD reference for Rogue (not that using reference is bad but you get the note). I would say that for the overall design, I just did what’ll look good for now other than giving Scott and Rogue rounder shoulders to give them more “friendlier” vibes.

Since it’s my first attempt, there might be some changes here and there as this style developed. Therefore constructive feedback is very much appreciated. ;v;/

While we’re at it, I’m recommending this Scogue fic Falling Slowly on LiveJournal if you haven’t read it yet. Had to use text reader as the text was way too small for me to read it manually in comfort aaa sobs.
